Middle School Math
I am a 1991 graduate of Eufaula. After graduation I attended Connors State College. I moved to Northeastern State University in 1993 and graduated in 1995 with my degree in Education.
I hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education. I am certified in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, JH Science, JH Social Studies, JH Language Arts as well as Special Education Mild to Moderate.
I have attended Great Expectations Training and loved it. Also I have been through the S.O.R. Traning.
This is my first year teaching at Midway. I was teaching at Crowder Schools prior to here. I have 22 years teaching experience and have taught every grade from PK-12th. I am currectly teaching Middle School Math, Middle School ELA, and Middle School ELA. Being a teaching is so rewarding and I love it so much!
When teaching at Crowder I was the 2nd grade teacher. I have taught at Stidham, Porum, and Graham as well. During my teaching career, I have taught 2nd grade, High School Advanced Academics, Creek Language classes, JH Science, JH Reading, JH Social Studies and JH ELA. My parents were teachers and I believe they had an impacct on me becoming a teacher. My brother is also a teacher at Pacola.
I am married to Chuck Tankersley. We have been married since 1991. (We were high school sweethearts). We have 6 children and 4 wonderful grandchildren. I have a mini donkey named Wonkey and she is so sweet.
My hobbies include quilting and swimming. In my spare time (I don’t really have any) I love to watch TV. I am the person who will sit and watch TV and not go to bed until 1 or 2 in the morning.
