Teacher/Counselor
Originally from Wyoming, I grew up in Cheyenne. I graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 1989.
I received my Bachelor of Science from The University of Wyoming. My degrees are in Biological Science, Secondary Education, and Exercise Physiology.
I received my Masters's in Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with an emphasis on School Counseling.
I am the school counselor and love to help the students determine their steps for the future. I also enjoy helping students learn life skills.
I teach High School Biology, Biology II, and Environmental Science and monitor concurrent enrollment students.
I have taught at Midway since 2008. I have taught self-contained 5th grade, 5th,6th,7th, and 8th Science, Social Studies, and Reading.
I am starting my 12th year as the Cross Country and Track Coach. I will be Co-Coaching the Cheerleaders with Ms. Peters this year.
I am the Advisor for the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society.
FAMILY
My husband Tom and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next December. We have two children. Hayden, our daughter, attends NSU, and our son Nathan will graduate from Midway this year. We keep busy watching Nathan Rodeo and playing sports.
