I started my education at Midway Elementary School and continured at Midway until I graduated from Midway High School in 2000. I then attended Connors State College where I recieved my Associate of Science degree. From there I attended Northeastern State University graduating with my Bacholers of Science in Elementary Education with a certification in Early Childhood Education as well. My certifications allow me to teach pre-k thru 8th grade.
I am currently enrolled in the Letrs Science of Reading training and will complete that in the spring of 2024.
I began teaching at Midway in 2009 teaching Pre-K. I taught Pre-K for one year and then moved to 1st Grade. I have been teaching 1st Grade since 2010.
Prior to working at Midway Public School I worked with 4-H at the OSU Extension Office in McIntosh County for 5 years. While attending Northeastern and Connors I worked as a child welfare aide for Okmulgee County Department of Human Service.
I have been engaged and with my fiance Brent for 6 years. I am blessed with a big, crazy, happy family that keeps me super busy but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I have three kids Bella, Easton, and Haddie all of which go to school here at midway. I have three bonus kids Rangler, Adysin, and Riley two of which graduated from Midway. I also have two bonus grandkids Hagan and Dixie. We have two dogs Max and Dolly.
